Pavlovsky Park

History of Pavlovsk began in 1777, when Catherine II had made his son Paul, a small gift - a piece of land six kilometers from the Tsarskoe Selo. Soon to Pavlovsk were invited famous architects of that time Cameron, Brenna, Rossi, Voronikhin, who worked on the creation of a beautiful palace and park ensemble.

And now we have one of the most beautiful suburbs of St. Petersburg. It is not flashy luxury Peterhof, no pomposity of Tsarskoe Selo. But its shady alleys, bridges through Slavyanka and calm grandeur will enchant you now and forever.

After visiting at least once in Pavlovsk, you'll come back here permanently. In the spring you will beckon here heady scent of lilacs in summer - a nice cool century-old trees. But in my opinion, looks more beautiful than all of Pavlovsk in early autumn, when its numerous trees are dressed in gold and purple outfits, like royalty before the ball.

The area of the Pavlovsk Park is 600 hectares. And every corner of it is unique. There may come just to walk and feed the very tame squirrels, or see numerous birds, and, of course, nafotografirovat many beautiful pictures.

If your head does not fit into the ancient period, you can easily go to Pavlovsk and study of antiquity there. Moira, music, ancient gods - all of them fit perfectly in Pavlovian landscape. That's not to mention the architectural masterpieces inspired by antiquity. Temple of Friendship, the Apollo Colonnade, pavilion of the Three Graces - small pieces of antiquity in the Pavlovsk Park.

And if you want to plunge into the early nineteenth century, go straight to the palace. On its way, we'll talk some other time.
